Stroke Risk Screening: Automatic Retinal Image Analysis
Stroke is caused by the blockage or burst of blood vessels in the brain, which hinders the brain tissue from receiving sufficient nutrients and oxygen. The affected nerve cells become necrotic, resulting in various neurological symptoms. The stroke risk examination uses fully automatic retinal image analysis technology to use fundus images to check whether the microfilament blood vessels in the fundus are narrowed, bleeding, blocked, or particularly curled, with abnormal bifurcation angles, etc., so as to evaluate the overall cerebrovascular status. As it reflects the chance of stroke, early knowledge of blood vessel conditions can help provide preventive treatment.
